Richael Timothy has made a flying start to the World Paracycling Championships in Glasgow after setting a new PB and national record on Wednesday. Timothy (WC3), who was competing in the Individual Pursuit, had to settle for sixth place, but there was consolation with another couple of milestones to add to her burgeoning reputation. It promises to be a busy few days for the Ballymoe native and former Roscommon ladies’ footballer, with five more races over the coming days — F200m on August 4th, 500m TT on August 7th, Scratch on August 8th, Time Trial on August 10th and Road Race on August 12th.
